 Click the image to go to their Facebook! A beautiful saturday in Brisbane was spent restoring a dual cab Mazda BT-50 owned by Daniel from the fantastic "Happy Cat Enclosures". Daniel has a wonderful history as an animal rights campaigner and over the last 18 months has built a successful business providing quality, affordable cat enclosures around Brisbane, even whilst staying very active in the animal rights scene . So if you're looking for an enclosure, you know where to go! They are extremely active on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/happycatenclosures Or find them on their website at http://www.happycatenclosures.com.auNow onto the Ute! We sadly didn't get any before pictures as we got stuck in straight away at 9am, and some of the pictures aren't the best quality as we took them as it got dark at 6pm.Needless to say, Daniel was ecstatic at the results having had the Mazda rather mis-treated at a very well known car-wash cafe in Brisbane months prior.After a 2-stage buffing process, deep interior detail and carnauba wax application she looked beautiful and more importantly, protected! Check it out....
Let this be a lesson to all you off-roaders... Get out and cut the branches!
OR at least just give us a call when you want your scratches fixed when you get home!
We had a customer on Friday who had been out in the bush and his Pajero had certainly taken a bit of damage from the overhanging branches. It had scratches from headlight all the way to tail light. The interior didn't get off lightly either. Thankfully the scratches weren't through the clear coat.
But not to fear, after 5 hours of detailing love we had her looking beautiful again.
Check out some of the pics and give us a call on 0433883704 if your vehicle needs the treatment.

Even with a proper wash it is impossible to remove all of the contaminants from your vehicles paint. Over time it accumulates contaminants like;
· Brake dust
· Paint overspray
· Industrial fallout and many more
If you run your hand along your paint and it feels rough (or doesn’t feel like glass) then you need to clay your car.
These fantastic pictures (courtesy of http://www.expert-mobile-car-detailing.com) illustrates the average condition of car paint after a wash and then after claying your paint.
Average paint condition after washing | Average paint condition after clay-bar | The clay bar removes these contaminants that sit above the clear coat. If you were to attempt to correct the scratches or other defects without claying the car, you would be more likely to actually cause MORE DAMAGE by dragging the contaminants across the paint. Notice how the defects in the clear coat still remain? This is because the clay bar when used with suitable lubricant is non-abrasive and only picks up contaminants, not removing clear coat. This leaves the surface ready to have the defects addressed by working down the clear coat to the bottom level of the defects with various compounds. So how often should you clay your car? The simple answer is whenever the paint feels rough! If you have good wash and wax processes then you may only have to clay your vehicle once a year or so. However, you should ALWAYS clay your paint before performing any defect correction to prevent you from causing more damage than when you started! Want your paint to feel like glass again and regain its deep, glossy shine? Just give us a call on 0433883704 to arrange a package suited to your needs, or BOOK HERE Look at the holograms and swirls on the right hand side that we removed after use of a clay-bar and buffing. The left hand side feels smooth as glass!

Once a customer has used us, they use us again, fact. Now I’m going to explain why.
We live in a time where everyone is trying to save a quick buck, petrol is up around $1.50 a litre and a block of cheese costs $7! It’s no wonder we are all looking to save, as a local business owner said to me the other day, “people will cross the road to save 10cents”.
My first reaction is, so they should! However, we tend to look at savings in the short run rather than the long. This is prevalent in our industry as much (if not more) than any other. The rise of the $35 wash n vac car wash cafes is evidence enough.
90% of our customers have previously been their customers. I’m sure you’ve used one of those services as well. One thing we hear a lot is that our customers were using these services either every week or every two weeks because the car gets dirty again quickly. Has it ever rained just after you’ve cleaned your car and then it is all streaky again? Exactly. The reason our customers keep using us is the car stays clean for up to 6 weeks! How? By using high-grade carnauba wax and other products.
So let’s do a little maths….
$35 per wash X 26 (number of washes in a year at every 2 weeks) = $910
$60 per wash X 12 (number of washes in a year at every 4 weeks) = $720
= SAVING $190
And this doesn’t even take into account;
1. HOURS SAVED from not having to drive to the car wash on your weekend. Let’s say it takes you 1 hour each time, that saves you 26 HOURS, that’s over ONE WHOLE DAY, and not just any day, its weekend time, which we usually spend with our loved ones. What price would you put on that?!
2. RESALE VALUE a professional detail including wax and UV protection will drastically reduce the rate at which your vehicle devalues.
So the long-term savings can easily add up to $1000s of dollars including resale value. So my question is this, will you spend $25 more today, to save over $1000 tomorrow? Of course you would, so book a detail today and see why everyone is using Timeless Car Cleaning.

What you don’t know won’t hurt you… but it will hurt your bank account!By Tristan Lal Did anybody else decide to buy their car because it came in a perfect shiny red metallic colour rather than a particular make or model? Or maybe you bought it because your sisters, boyfriends, uncle said it was a good make? If you have found yourself with a car you know nothing about but still hold very dear to yourself then this article is for you. Here’s the deal, whether you paid 20 000 plus for a new car or 5000 for a beater, it’s money out of your pocket so get the most out of it. Here are some helpful tips to help save money on your car: Get dirty at home:Don’t be afraid to get in there and do it yourself, stay on top of your liquid levels, this means checking your oil, checking your windshield wiper fluids, even changing your own air filter. While these things may seem like a daunting task for some of us (I know I was guilty of this) you will find a quick stop at the auto repair shop or even your local hardware shop will provide you with all the necessary top ups you need. And don’t be afraid to ask for some advice. If your not sure where to put your win shield wiper fluid or how much oil to put in, you can be sure that someone will give you a hand. And the good news is, it will only take one lesson to learn how easy it really is. The main lesson here is, while some tasks seem too big to handle most top ups can be done in under 10 minutes but will cost you a hell of a lot more if you pay someone else to do it for you. Compare:If you find in need of some replacement parts, don’t stop at the first place you go to. Look online, sites like AutoWharehouse and Auto Barn may provide significantly cheaper parts than your local repair shop. It is worth your time to look around and compare prices before getting talked into unnecessary up grades for double the money. Plus online we don’t have salesmen pressuring us to make an immediate purchase, so take your time, browse the web, that way when you visit the shop your prepared and you know a little bit more about pricing. Keep it clean:This might seem quite obvious, but when you decide to sell, a clean car might put a little extra cash in your pocket. Remember, if you bought your car because it came in the colour you wanted, you can bet you are on-selling it to a buyer with the same thought as you. This is of course if it is in fact the same colour as when you bought it. Leaving dirt and settled dust on your exterior is undoubtedly not good for your paint. Just as grape juice and ketchup stains are damaging to the interior. So save your paint, and save the upholstery be willing to pay for a professional cleaning every few months. Shop around for this as well; don’t expect to pay anything over $300 but for a proper clean you should be looking at a cost around $100-$150 for both the interior and exterior. It seems like a lot to spend just for a cleaning but a professional detail every so often will keep your car fresh for a lifetime. Take care of your car like you would yourself, feed it (keep it fuelled up), hydrate it, (stay on top your liquids), get some exercise (you bought it, make sure you drive it!), bathe it and take it to the doctors every so often. If you stay on top of these simple jobs you can be sure to save yourself an arm and a leg in the long run. Tristan Lal is a freelance writer and Public Relations professional. Nowadays stores are full of hundreds (if not thousands) of “specialty” items to help you clean your car, often costing extortionate amounts! If you aren’t careful and listen to all the marketing promises, you could easily spend hundreds of dollars in one trip!
But not to worry, tuck that wallet back in your back pocket and take a walk around your home, there are numerous items that you already own that will help you in your maintenance mission. But if it all becomes too much, don’t be afraid to get the professionals in once in a while!
1. Toothbrush – My personal favourite! The trusted toothbrush is an extremely versatile aid when it comes to cleaning your car. We will start with the firm brush;
a. Firm Brush – Apply a small amount of upholstery cleaner to the head of the brush, place your thumb behind the head (to prevent it from snapping), and scrub any spot stains on your carpet or upholstery. We find this gets stains out 90% of the time! You may need to do 2 or 3 rounds on those tougher stains.
b. Soft Brush – The soft brush is great for running along small crevice sections such as around the edge of air-vents or gearboxes to get all those small dirt and grime particles. EXPERT TIP – run a microfiber along at the same time to catch whatever you dislodge.
2. Pocket Sized Compressed Air – Admittedly this may not be found in all households but remember that little air canister you picked up to clean your keyboard? It is PHENOMENAL at clearing those hard to get to spots of dust and grime. And for around $2.99 from office supply stores, you really can’t argue! You can also use this to blow off leaves and twigs which often tend to congregate in the boot jambs of your car. In fact, you can use it to remove pretty much anything (just don’t spray it on your bare skin, it can burn!).
3. Rubber Gloves – Apart from protecting yourself against any stronger chemicals you may use for stain removal, they have another secret use… Pet hair! Run the palm of your hand in one direction along the affected area a few times, the pet hair will begin to gather in a small lump, you can then pick up the lump easily. If you still can’t get those last few strands to come out, Sello-tape or (sticky tape as most countries other than the UK call it!) works a charm, just lay it flat over the strands and pull it off much like waxing and you will find it works like a charm!
4. Dish Cloths – Firstly, do not use dirty dish cloths on your paint! You should only use clean cloths when applying any kind of product to your paintwork, otherwise you risk adding contaminants or even scratching your paintwork. However, old dish cloths are fantastic for cleaning your rims! Break dust, although looking horrendous, is amazingly easy to remove, a small amount of either household multi-purpose cleaner or even just water is usually enough to loosen it up to be wiped off by one of your cloths. Recycling dish-cloths is a lot cheaper than buying 2 terry towels for $10 which seems to be the norm nowadays!
5. Air-freshener! – Last but not least is the mighty air-freshener, it seems so, so obvious yet I very rarely meet people who regularly use it to maintain their vehicle. If you deem it nice enough to fragrance your house, why not your car?! A little spray often will really make a difference.
Hopefully these will help you keep your car nice and clean and delay (if not prevent) the need to get a professional car detailing company in!
